The staff at the Northport Public Library set up voting booths for two months in the Summer of 1999 for patrons to cast their votes for the Best Books of the Century.  The above list is the result of tabulating the community's many votes.  These titles are carved into George W. Hart's Millennium BookBall sculpture.
